Arab League condemns Israeli aggression against Palestinians, other's silence
Palestine-Regional, Politics, 8/27/2007
The Arab League strongly condemned today the continued Israeli attacks on the Palestinian territory, denouncing the silence of international community.
The league, in a statement, called on all international organizations, the UN Security Council and the Quartet to adopt firm stance in the face of the continued Israeli violation against the Palestinian people, calling for pressuring the Israeli government to stop its aggression.
The Palestinian official news agency reported that the statement "concluded that the death toll yesterday because of ongoing Israeli aggression in the West Bank and Gaza Strip mounted to nine victims."
Israel's Ministry Of Foreign Affairs said that "A Kassam rocket fired from northern Gaza towards Israel hit a Sderot vehicle Saturday, destroying it completely. Eight Kassam rockets landed in Sderot and the Negev area on Thursday."
Meantime, Israeli occupation forces killed today morning a Palestinian in the middle of the Gaza Strip, medical sources said. They told the news agency WAFA that the farmer was immediately killed on the spot as he was planting his field when Israeli soldiers opened direct fire on him in east al-Breij refugee camp, middle of the strip
