Blast in Iraq's parliament condemned by Iran
Iraq-Iran, Politics, 4/16/2007

Iranian lawmaker and head of Iran-Iraq Parliamentary Friendship Groups, Seyed Ali Riyadh, yesterday in separate messages to speaker of Iraq's National Assembly and the Iraqi head of joint parliamentary friendship group, condemned the recent blasts in Iraq, particularly the one at the parliament.

He expressed confidence that such terrorist measures will not have an impact on the will of the representatives of Iraqi nation to do their best to gain national freedom and independence.

Addressing Iraq's parliament speaker, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, he underlined that this terrorist incident shows the great importance and status of Iraq's National Assembly in the progress of country's political process so that it is a cause for concern of the enemies of Iraqi Muslim nation.

"Through vigilance of political forces and Muslim people of Iraq, those seeking war, bloodshed and discord rather than peace, security, solidarity and reconciliation will get nowhere," he concluded.
