Abu Rdaina warns of increased Israeli oppression

The Spokesperson of Presidency, Nabil Abu Rdaina, warned today of the Israeli intentions to escalate its military aggression by conducting Wide scale offensive into the Gaza Strip.

Commenting on Israeli Defense Minister, Amir Peretz, and Chief of Staff, Dan Halutz, approval for a wide scale operation in the Gaza Strip, Abu Rdaina said that such an aggression would expand the cycle of violence in the region, smack all efforts to settle the truce and to resume the peace process.

He called on the Quartet committee and the UN Security Council to stop Israeli government from carrying out its plans which at the end would lead to more victims and destruction.

Meantime, Israeli bulldozers destroyed Tuesday several Palestinian houses in Negev, south of Israel, Arab local sources (in Israel) said.

The Regional Council for the Non-recognized Villages in Negev(RCUV) reported that Israeli Police troops and bulldozers thrust into the area and destroyed several houses leaving the occupants homeless.

RCUV added that they destroyed the houses to evacuate the area from the Palestinian owners as a preface to seize the land.

It added that the destruction came under the pretext of not possessing a permission of building. Since 1948, the Israeli Authorities refused to deliver building permission for thousands of Israeli Arab (Palestinian) families in Negev and banned essential services especially sewage, water and electricity. Meanwhile, they allow the Israeli Jews to construct buildings and establishments on the Arab seized land.

Meantime, Israeli occupation forces today killed at pre-dawn two Palestinians and wounded three others in the Gaza Strip(GS) city of Khan Younis. Mahmoud al-Najjar 22, was shot with live bullet in the chest and Shadi al-Najjar was hit in the head, when Israeli soldiers, backed by ten military vehicles, thrust into Khoza'a town , east Khan Younis and opened fire toward them.
