HR organization: Child killed by Israel is war crime
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 6/14/2006
A Palestinian Human Rights organization warned of considering the tragedy of the child Huda Ghalia, who lost her family during an Israeli attack at Gaza beach, to be just a human case.
In a press release issued in Gaza, "Al-Dameer Association" said it "looks strangely" to the race for adopting the child Huda Ghalia.
Al-Dameer considers these precessions to adopt the child as an abbreviation for this tragedy to be considered only as a human case, the things that immolates the essence of the case.
"The tragedy of Huda's Family is a war crime and should be treated as war crime of the first place, and what is most important is to work on presenting the Israelis entangled in this case to the court," Al-Dameer said.
Al-Dameer expressed its respect to all those singular and collective initiatives toward the child Huda. But it added that it "believes that announcing them in press and media reduces diminish the importance of this case that should be considered not less than a war crime."
It also demanded the Palestinian National Authority to put the file of the Israeli war crimes on its priorities.
