Sufi Movement to be involved in Libya

The official Libyan news said that the Associates of Sufi Movement in Great Jamahiriya sent a cable to the Libyan Leader Muammar al-Qathafi on the occasion of their meeting yesterday with the General Coordinator of the Social People's Leaderships of Libya.

The report said the cable in part reads:
To the Internationalist Revolutionary Leader
We are meeting today under the auspices of the General Coordinator of the Social People's Leaderships of Great Jamahiriya (Libya) to discuss the means to activate the role of Sufism in Libya.

To you alone, we renew pledge and loyalty to march forward on the path of Sufism that will save this Nation from loss and false accusations of dervish practices seeking to get rid of alien cultures and destructive phenomena in order to bring up an upright human being.

In conformity with the everlasting dictum that constant relationships are among people's and not among governments, we are ready to build solid and strong ties that fulfill the aspirations of our Islamic Nation and to support and consolidate the Great African Union.

We are committed to fulfill our pledge marching forward on your steps preaching your thoughts.
