Egypt's presidential campaign starts today

Campaigns for the ten candidates to the presidential elections will be start today in Egypt where the elections will be on September 7th.
The list of candidates includes heads of the parties of the ruling democratic national party of President Hosni Mubarak; the al-Wafd party of Ayman Nour; al-Takaful ( integration) of Osama Shaltout; Egypt ' Arab socialist of Wahid al-Aqsari; the democratic federal party of Ibrahim Turk, the Ummah party of Ahmad al-Sabahi, al- Wifaq party of Rifaat al-Ajroudi; Egypt 2000 of Muhammad Fhazelle, al-Wafd of Nu'man Jum'a and the free social constitutional party of Mamdouh Qanawi.
In an official speech on this occasion, Mubarak announced his election program amid rules from the ministry of information for the media to have balanced coverage of the ten candidates in the time provided to them on radio and TV to debate their agendas.
The minister of information Anas al-Faqih also promised that the mass media will make a distinction between the President's official activities and his election campaign.
The higher committee for elections chaired by advisor Mamdouh Meree stressed that there will be complete judicial supervision on all elections committees. This means there will be no other observers, seemingly, a direct reply to those calling for sending UN observers.
