Seven American marines killed in Iraq

Seven American marines and scores of Iraqis were killed or injured in several of blowing up operations and booby trapped car explosions during the past 24 hours.
In a statement, the American army said that seven of its marines were killed in two separate attacks in al-Anbar, west Iraq. The first was in Haditha city near the border with Syria and resulted in killing six soldiers and the second was in Haith city where one soldier was killed and others injured in a booby trapped car explosion in their military vehicle.
Gunmen in Haditha circulated statements announcing the killing of ten American soldiers and confiscation of some of their weapons.
One booby trapped car went off targeting a US military vehicle in the aviation square in the downtown of Baghdad, leaving several dead and many reported as injured including American soldiers.
