Three American soldiers in series of attacks

A statement by the American army announced the killing of three of its soldiers in various bomb attacks in Iraq. The first soldier was killed when one mortar hit an American vehicle running during clashes with gunmen to the east of al-Seib city, 60 Km to the south of Baghdad.

Another soldier was killed when a bomb implanted on a roadside went off in the vehicle he was riding to the east of Baghdad, while the third was killed in a bomb explosion near Sameraa, 100 km to the north of Baghdad.

Violent fighting continued between the American forces and the gunmen at the outskirts of al-Qaem city near the Syrian borders. The Iraqi Red Crescent warned against the occurrence of a humanitarian crisis in al-Qaem where several families returned back to mosques and schools where the people drastically suffer foods, garments and potable waters.
