The Lebanese police said that one bomb was thrown at a building including a branch for one banks in Dohour al-Shweif area, in the Lebanese northern Maten area in the Mount Lebanon on Friday evening.

The explosion inflicted limited material losses in the targeted building and did not result in victims, as it took place in the evening.

The explosion which is the fifth of its kind which hits Christian areas in Beirut since March 19 raised fear following the wave of recent attacks which came after the assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafic Hariri.

Meantime, news reports in Beirut said that the Lebanese security forces seized a pickup truck carrying 50 kg of explosives in al-Qa' town in the Lebanese Bekaa plain near the borders with Syria.

The reports quoted a Lebanese security source as saying that the Lebanese driver and his companion were held for investigations, noting that the driver admitted he was trying to deploy the explosives in the Syria territories.

The news continued that the Lebanese security forces carried out an inspection campaign to houses in the town in search of evidences.

These developments coincided with the Syrian forces continued withdrawal from Lebanon in the course of the last phase which started on Thursday. Witnesses said that more than 70 Syrian military trucks left during evening time towards the Syria territories carrying ranks, artillery mortars and anti aircraft artillery.
