Clashes which erupted between the Saudi security forces and gunmen in al-Raas city in al-Qasim area to the north of the capital Riyadh continued on Sunday.
The prince of the region, Faisal Bin Bander Bin Abdul Aziz, told the Saudi official news channel that the police forces killed three wanted men.
He indicated that the security forces are currently working to end the phase of confrontation after the wanted men moved from a building they were fortifying in to another one, but he gave no mention to the number of besieged men.
Earlier, a Saudi security source admitted the killing of one police officer and wounding other 20 in the confrontations which erupted when a house suspected of being using as a weapons store was attacked by what it described as extremists Islamists.
