Jordan's foreign minister on Saturday in Ramullah and Tel Aviv

The Jordanian foreign minister Hani al-Malqi will head on Saturday to Israel in a two day visit which is the first for a Jordanian official since four years aiming at "bringing back warmth" to the relations between the two countries, according to al-Malqi.

The Jordanian minister will visit first the Palestinian territories, first to hold talks with the chairman of the Palestinian national authority Mahmoud Abbas and other officials and then to head for Tel Aviv where he will stay for one day before he will be meeting with the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon and his foreign minister Silvan Shalom to " give the peace process a push forward."

The spokesman for the Jordanian foreign ministry Rajab al-Sufeiri said that al-Malqi will ask the Israeli side "that the separation plan from Gaza to be part of the roadmap."

Al-Sfeiri added that al-Malqi will stress in his meetings on the "Jordanian national interest concerning final solutions issues like borders, water, the refugees and Jerusalem,." And the Jordanian prisoners and detainees are on top of priorities.
