Four American soldiers killed in Iraq

The American forces announced the killing of four of its soldiers during the two past days in operations targeted these forces in several Iraqi areas.

The American army said on Monday that one of its soldiers was killed by opening fire on him at a traffic check point to the south of Baghdad on Sunday.

Earlier two American soldiers were killed and other two injured in a mortar attack followed by confrontations in heavy machine-gun weapons to the southern east of Baghdad, according to a statement by the American army, which indicated that the attack took place on Saturday.

An American statement on Sunday said that one American soldier from the marines was killed on Saturday in Babel to the south of Baghdad.
