Palestinian security forces completed deployment

In another development, the Palestinian national security forces completed its deployment in south Gaza. A Palestinian security source said that 2000 Palestinian police man were deployed along the border with Egypt, noting that the deployment process was completed without incidents.

Members of the Palestinian security men took their positions at several check points and started to run patrols in towns to the south of Gaza including Deir al-Balah; Khan Younis and Rafah. Missions of the Palestinian security concentrated on preventing attacks which target the Israeli settlements.

The Palestinian authority decided to prevent carrying unlicensed weapons in the area of their security responsibility in an attempt to restore back its security role.

For its part, the Israeli occupation army will continue supervising the border line in order to avoid the smuggling of weapons from Egypt which passes through tunnels alleged that the Palestinians had dug.
