Continued attacks in Iraq

During the few past hours, attacks and explosions continued in various parts of Iraq. News reports quoted medical sources in Abu Ghreib area hospital to the west of Baghdad that five Iraqis from one family were killed and other two injured in this area when the car they were riding ran over an explosive that was implanted on an agricultural land.
In another development, unidentified persons on Tuesday killed Youssef Abdul Razzaq, member of the municipal council and tribe leader in al-Doura area in Baghdad. One officer in the Iraqi police was killed in Baqouba to the northern east of Baghdad.
A spokesman for the Red Cross said that a team from the organization entered on Tuesday Falluja in a second humanitarian mission carried out in the city since the beginning of the American attack started on November 8th.
Meantime, the Polish forces handed over Karbala area to the American forces, prior to the implementation of the decision taken by the Polish government to reduce the number of its forces in Iraq from 2400 soldiers to 1700 soldiers, which it said will start after the Iraqi elections on January 30th, 2005. Poland assumed the leadership of international forces to the south of Baghdad composed of 6,000 soldiers.
