Iraq, Local, 11/15/2004

Al-Jazeera TV in Qatar said that one Islamic group has released two women of the relatives of the Iraqi prime minister Eyad Allawi, but still holding his cousin as a hostage.

Al-Jazeera, which quoted the news from source it did not identify, gave no other details. It was not possible to contact Iraqi officials immediately to confirm this report.

An Islamic group which is not known before announced the kidnapping of Ghazi, the cousin of Allawi ( 75 year old) with his wife and daughter in law in Baghdad on Tuesday. The group threatened to kill them within 48 hours if the interim Iraqi government will not retreat from an attack led by the USA against Falluja and also to release Iraqi prisoners.
