British writer and American Occupation of Iraq
Iraq-USA, Politics, 10/7/2004

British Writer and Professor of History at the University of Michigan Juan Cole criticized the American policy in Iraq, asserting that the U.S administration has committed mistakes on all levels and it is time to change this policy.

In an article published by Qatari newspaper of "al-Wattan" Wednesday, Cole said that the Bush administration has achieved nothing in Iraq but chaos, unemployment and partition.

He questioned: "If the U.S. doesn't want to partition Iraq why did it dissolve the Iraqi army ? and if the U.S. doesn't want to stay in Iraq É why is it establishing 14 military bases?" The writer warned against the repercussions of violence against the Iraqi people, stressing that the security situation will worsen in the future.
