37 Iraqi children killed in Baghdad

Thursday, yesterday, was a day of children massacre in Iraq as 37 children and five teenagers were killed in a booby trapped car explosion to the southern west of Baghdad.

Some doctors in al-Yarmouk hospital said that the increased number of children among the victims is a result of the blowing up of one booby trapped car upon celebrating a new station for water purification in the al-Amel quarters.

Also in Baghdad, the American army announced the killing of one of its soldiers and two Iraqi policemen and also injuring other 13 by a booby trapped car explosion outside one of the American military bases.

Al-Tawhid Wal-Jihad group which is led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi claimed in a statement responsibility for the attack which targeted one American procession in al-Amel quarters in Baghdad and Abu Ghreib area.

A military statement announced the killing of one of the soldiers of the multi national forces and injuring other 7 by a missile fired in one of the suburbs of Baghdad.

Seven persons, including one American soldier were killed in two attacks by booby trapped cars near Baghdad and in Tel-Afer to the north of Iraq.

In Falluja, where the American raids were evident, three persons were killed and other 16 injured.
