Moussa: resistance is not by chopping heads of people
Regional-Iraq, Politics, 9/15/2004
The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa deplored the operations of kidnapping and killing of civilians in Iraq, refusing to enlist that as "resistance against occupation," considering that " resistance does not mean cutting the heads of people."
In a press conference held in Cairo yesterday, Moussa said "resistance against occupation is a natural matter, but not cutting heads of people unjustifiably." He stressed the need of making a distinction between clear terrorist operations and resistance against the occupation forces.
Moussa deplored the acts saying " under what name and principle is this made? We as people having respect to our selves as individuals and honor our religion and culture, can never call this resistance."
