Two American soldiers were killed, Allawi calls for bringing in Arab forces to Iraq

Two American soldiers were killed and a third was injured when their vehicle hit a bomb implanted on the pavement of the road outside Sameraa city on Thursday.
A statement by the American army said that one soldier was killed in the attack and the second died because of his wounds " and that the wounded soldier is in a stable condition.
Since the beginning of July, Sameraa has been witnessing bloody confrontations between the American army and the Iraqi security forces on the one hand and Iraqi gunmen.
Meantime, confrontations continued in Iraq. one Iraqi citizen was skilled and one woman was injured in a bomb explosion near al-Imam al-Azam mosque in al-Azameyah area in the downtown of Baghdad.
In the same area, one person was injured when three shelling of unidentified source fell at one house. In Abu Ghreib area to the west of Baghdad, one Iraqi was killed in clashes between the American forces and unidentified gunmen after an attack against an American patrol.
Meantime, the secretary general of the Arab League Amr moussa said that Allawi asked him to discuss with the Arab states the issue of sending Arab forces to Iraq, noting that the issue is a subject of discussion and he will notify the Arab states about this request.
For his part, Allawi said following his talks with Mousa that the expected role from the Arab league is to help Iraq in all fields, especially getting Arab forces involved in the multi- national forces, adding that the AL will have a role when the next conference of Iraq's neighboring states will hold a plenary session.
