Iraq-USA, Politics, 6/12/2004

The US President George W. Bush said on Thursday that the pistol of the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein which was confiscated during his detention has become an American property.

Bush was asked in his press conference in conclusion of the G-8 in Georgia on whether he will gift Saddam's personal pistol to the new Iraqi President, he answered " it is now the property of the American government." Bush explained that soldiers of the special forces " Delta force" who found Saddam hiding in a trench brought him the pistol at the White House. He added: our soldiers were happy to arrest him and found in his hands weapons and among them this pistol they had brought me.
