Sharon: we will fight terrorism every where

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon said in the first official comment he made on the assassination of Sheikh Ahmad Yassin at the beginning of a meeting for the Likud bloc in the Knesset that "the state of Israel, today morning, hit the head of killers in the Palestinian ideology. The ideology of this man is put in one thing which is to kill Jews wherever and to exterminate the state of Israel."

He added "I assume that all of you know the history of this person which is mingled with blood and hatred. Sheikh Yassin was one of our public enemy." Sharon thanked the Israeli security forces. He said "the war against terrorism has not ended and will continue every day and every where. This is a difficult fight and all peoples of the free world know they have to take part in it. It is the natural right for the Jewish people, like other world's people which desire to live and chase each and every one tries to exterminate it."

The Israeli defense minister Shaoul Mofaz talked during the meeting and said that the movement carried out " 52 suicide operations resulted in killing 288 Israelis and wounding other 1446. and that the Hamas movement is listed among the terrorist organizations even in Europe, without distinction between its military and political wings. And Yassin had sent hundreds of terrorists and suiciders to kill civilians. He is the Palestinian Bin laden whose hands are splashed with bloods."

He added that " Israel has been since three and a half years running a war against the Palestinian terrorism and against terrorist organizations, foremost being Hamas and the Islamic Jihad. This is an institutional war in all possible channels, against leaders, and channels of money and provocation." He also said " all leadership of Hamas is that a leadership of terrorism. And this organization raised its banner as to exterminate the Jewish state." Moreover, the Likud bloc welcomed Sharon's implementation of the assassination and said it " supports each and every step aims at eliminating the Palestinian terrorism."
