Five Israelis were stabbed in Jafa and Ramat Ghan

A source in the Israeli police said yesterday that two persons were slightly injured yesterday evening by a knife stabs inside a bus in Jafa city, near Tel Aviv by an attacker who is expected to be a Palestinian who was able to escape later. The source added that the investigators consider that this attack is linked to the assassination of the founder of the Hamas movement Sheikh Ahmad Yassin.

On Monday morning three other persons were injured when an armed Palestinian in an axe in Ramat Ghan near Tel Aviv and the Israeli police said that a "young Palestinian terrorist came from the Palestinian territories" and was arrested after the attack.

On the other hand, police sources yesterday talked about the blowing up of a car in the Israeli Jilo quarters, in East Jerusalem, because of firing a police light bomb. The sources said " the matter is a mere accident rather than an attack."
