The US defense department ( Pentagon) announced yesterday the death of the secretary general of the People's Front For Liberation of Palestine, Muhammad Abbas ( Abu al-Abbas ), who has been in detention by the American occupation forces in Iraq since one year.
The spokesman for the Pentagon, Brian Wittman, told reporters "preliminary reports says he died of natural reasons and it seemed that medical attempts did not succeed to save his life." Wittman refused to disclose the place where Abu al-Abbas had died.
