Saudi prince calls for protecting Iraq
Saudi Arabia-Iraq, Politics, 2/17/2003
Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan Bin Turkey Bin Abdul Aziz has called on the forthcoming Arab summit to send Arab military forces to Iraq in order to protect it against the war the US threatens to launch against it.
In an appeal through the Qatari al-Jazira TV station from Geneva yesterday morning, prince Sultan called "if the brotherly Iraq falls, it is not too far that all countries of the region will meet the same fate."
He indicated that "it is not possible to ask for the departure of the foreign forces from the region if we do not have the ability to find an Arab solution embodied in protecting Iraq and be a door for solving the Palestinian question."
