Iran, Kuwait sign memorandum of understanding

Iran and Kuwait on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding on defense and security cooperation between the two countries.
The memorandum which was signed by the Iranian defense minister Admiral Ali Shamakhani and Kuwait's Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, stated the exchange of military technical expertise and view points between military officials in the two countries concerning security and defense issues in the region and training military men.
Both Shamakhani and Sheikh Jaber Mubarak praised in two separate speeches the results of talks held between the Iranian and Kuwaiti sides and the conduced results. They stressed that the results of the talks and the memorandum of understanding broke the barrier of non- confidence sought by enemies of the region, noting that the memorandum, is considered an important turning points in the history of defense relations between Iran and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
