Qathafi, Mubarak discuss Palestinian conditions, U.S. threats to Iraq
Libya-Egypt, Politics, 10/2/2002
Libya's Leader of the Revolution Colonel Muammar al Qathafi and the Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak discussed during their meeting which was held in Sert, Libya the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the American military plans and threats which target the Iraqi people.
Libyan official sources said that the visit which lasted for several hours came in the context of intensive consultations held between the Arab leaders who express their objection to attacking Iraq and simultaneously express their fears of the American plans which "aim at destabilizing general security in the region." The Libyan and Egyptian leaders discussed bilateral relations and means of strengthening them in all fields as well as issues relating to the African continent and international issues of mutual concern.
The American threats against Iraq and Arab and international stances were all issues the Libyan leader had discussed with the Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and with the Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika, this week.
