Kharazi confers with Sabri
Iraq-Iran, Politics, 9/30/2002

The Iranian foreign minister Kamal Kharazi on Sunday in Tehran discussed with the Iraqi foreign minister Naji Sabri bilateral relations between the two countries and the pending humanitarian relations and means of solving them and the American threats against Iraq and other regional issues.

During his meeting with Sabri, the Iranian foreign minister stressed that Iran is trying relentlessly to prevent the occurrence of a new war in the region, stressing the need that Iraq should foster its cooperation with the UN to limit the escalation of the crisis and the troubled conditions in the region.

He also expressed Iran's desire to solve all pending issued with Baghdad and to prepare the appropriate atmosphere to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Sabri stressed Iraq's care to strengthen its relations with Iran and solve all pending issues between the two countries.
