Palestine, Politics, 8/16/2002
The Palestinian Khalil al-Nawara, who is one of the Palestinian resistance men exiled in the framework of the agreement to end the siege on the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, on Tuesday expressed his feeling of loneliness and depression.
Al-Nawara ( 24 year old) said in a statement to the Belgian daily Le Soire as saying on Tuesday "I do live with Palestinians, but I do not know any body else and there is no work to do." He added "I had left my family and my country.. even when I am among people, I feel alone."
Al-Nawara said he has chosen exile instead of imprisonment. He indicated that he is continuously contacting other Palestinians exiled with the "exception of those in Italy and Portugal, whom I could not contact."
