Israeli forces demolish three positions for Palestinian security; acts of detention

The Israeli tanks and armored vehicles demolished three positions for the Palestinian security near Khazza town in Gaza and arrested four citizens from al-Rahat village and al-Shweika district in Toulkarem and 18 Palestinians from al-Sheyoukh village, Areiha, Bethlehem, Nablus and Qalqilya.

The governor of Toulkarem announced that the Israeli forces on Friday threw tear gas bombs at the persons who were praying at Khan Younis mosque which was besieged by the Israeli tanks.

Meantime, scores of American and European volunteers walked the streets of Nablus in demonstrations aiming at lifting the curfew imposed on the city and its camps and the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Palestinian cities.

The Israeli soldiers broke into the house of Hussein al-Sheikh, one of the leaders of the Fatah movement in the West Bank, while thousands of Palestinians held a funeral fro col. Jihad al-Ammarin of al-Aqsa groups martyrs in Gaza who was assassinated together with his companion Wael al-Nimra on Thursday after the Israeli forces detonated their car.

Some 17 Palestinians carrying the European nationality announced a hunger strike after they were officially notified by the Israeli authorities they will be expelled to Jordan.
