American proposal to deploy Jordanian forces in the West Bank

Well-informed sources said that the US envoy Gen. Antony Zeini conveyed to the Jordanian King Abdullah II a proposal agreed by Israel to sending Jordanian troops to the Palestinian territories in order to separate between the Palestinians and the Israeli soldiers.

According to the Palestinian sources, this proposal wins the consent of the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat as these ( Jordanian ) forces will be in charge of helping him ( Arafat) in maintaining control on the situation.

Meantime, during his meeting with the chairman of the Palestinian territories Yasser Arafat on Thursday in Ramullah Zeini asked Arafat to carry out a list of 16 items so as to restore back confidence. No news were disclosed on the content of these items, but Palestinian sources expected to be on " fighting terrorism" actually and to have results materialized on the ground.
