Mubarak, Al-Khalifa support Palestinains to declare their state

Egypt's President Mubarak and Emir of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa-al Khalifa had held the first round of talks in Sharm E1 Sheikh last Wednesday.
Talks between the two leaders focused on the situation in the Arab world, Gulf, Arab and regional issues in the light of the latest changes in Israel and deteriorating positions in the occupied lands.
Talks also dealt with issues tabled on the agenda of the Arab summit conference which will be held in Amman late this month.
Talks tackled ways of supporting legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to the declaration of their independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The two sides underlined the fact that the only way for reaching a just and comprehensive peace depends on commitment to international legitimacy and reaching solutions which are acceptable to both sides.
The first round of talks had discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the various domains.
The Emir of Bahrain had said upon arrival in Egypt that Bahrain was seeking to develop joint economic cooperation with Egypt in the various economic, investment, educational, information and tourist fields to the mutual benefit of both countries.
Prime Minister Atef Ebeid received Sheikh Hamad Bin Ibrahim A1 Khalifa, the member of the Higher Council for Petroleum in Bahrain and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Gas company in presence of Eng. Sameh Fahmy the Minister of Petroleum who said following the meeting that the Egyptian and Bahraini sides discussed ways of boosting cooperation in the field of petroleum.
The two sides agreed on establishing a project for extracting Butane gas from natural gas produced from the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea.
The Minister of Petroleum added that the two sides agreed on the formation of a joint working committee from experts in the field of gas and petroleum in order to determine projects in which Bahrain could take part.
The two sides agreed that this working committee would embark on carrying this mission in the near future.
