Saddam Hussein threatens to strike Israel

Iraq's President Saddam Hussein stressed that Iraq is ready to bombard Israel for six continuous months and this is in the first place to liberate the Arab lands, occupied by Israel in 1967.
The Iraqi dailies said on Wednesday quoted on Wednesday the Iraqi President as saying during his meeting with the chairman of the PLO political department Farouk al-Qaddoumi on Tuesday as saying that Israel can not stand continuous bombardment of artilleries for six months.
He continued that Arab artillery should strike from the land and from the sea without any suspension even if no progress is attained for two meters. He stressed Iraq's readiness to carry out this mission even if the Arab backing to the Iraqi army is symbolic.
He said that Iraq stands with the Arabs against any foreign aggressions and that this Iraqi stand is not only limited to Syria and Iraq will maintain solidarity even with Saudi Arabia it will be exposed to a foreign aggression.
