Clinton renews sanctions on Libya

The US President Bill Clinton on Thursday informed the Congress his decision to renew economic sanctions imposed on the US against Libya in January 1986, after the explosion of the Pan Am airliner over Lockerbie.
News reports said that Clinton decided to extend the economic siege on Libya for more six months.
