A Libyan official discusses Sudanese problem with Abdul Meguid

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid met with Ali El-Teraiki, secretary general of the public general committee in Libya, to discuss the topics concerning the general Arab situation, especially those related to Africa.
After the meeting, El-Teraiki said that he informed Abdul Meguid about the latest developments regarding the Egyptian - Libyan initiative to achieve national rapport in Sudan, adding that the initiative goes positively and is the only one in the arena currently capable of helping their problems, stopping the deterioration as maintaining Sudan's territorial integrity.
He said meetings will be convened with parts of the Sudanese opposition in light of the results of the trilateral ministerial meeting that was held in Cairo on Saturday to agree on a timetable for solve the different issues through which a conference for the national rapport can be convened in which all parties participate.
Concerning the status of Somalia, El-Teraiki expressed his belief that the coming weeks will witness a positive development in this issue in light of Djibouti's initiative to achieve reconciliation and stability in Somali and start Libyan - Egyptian cooperation concerning this matter.
