European mission searches for Napoleon's fleet in Alexandria

A committee for Egyptian archeology affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Culture agreed that a mission of the European institute for archeology under the chairmanship of the French institute France Jorio is to resume the search for Napoleon's sunken fleet in the waters of Abu Keer bay in Alexandria, which started 10 years ago.
The mission will start its work in April and continue for 16 months with the participation of 20 experts in the different archeological specializations in addition to divers.
The mission's work program includes revealing parts of the fleet which was sunk 200 years ago during the French campaign on Egypt in the year 1798.
