Yemen cracking down on opposition papers, group says
The Committee to Protect Journalists said there is the legal harassment of opposition and independent newspapers over the past month by the Yemeni authorities, including the closure of one newspaper and a barrage of defamation lawsuits against others.

Yemen denies clashes with the followers of al-Houthi in Sadah
The security director in Sadah governorate in Yemen Maj. Gen. Muhammad Saleh denied the occurrence of clashes between the security forces and supporters of Bader Eddine al-Houthi on Wednesday, noting that several persons among those who were involved in the clashes of the two past days were arrested.

Eight Yemeni security men killed in attacks for al-Houthi followers
Eight members of the Yemeni police were killed in attacks launched by gunmen of the followers of the Shiite advocate Bader Eddine al-Houthi at centers and points for the police in Sadah governorate northwest of the country.
