Yemen intends to join the Gulf Cooperation Council states
The Yemeni foreign minister Abdullah al-Sayedi has stated that his country will join the membership of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He described this council as the proper and healthy environment for Yemen, denying simultaneously any reservations in certain countries of the GCC to this effect.

Saudi- Yemeni committee recommends to revitalize security cooperation on the borders
A joint Saudi- Yemen committee has concluded its meetings in Sanaa and recommended the need of preparing a supplement on the border treaty signed between the two states during a meeting to be held for that purpose in Jeddah on June 12 in order to organize the work of the border authorities and revitalize security cooperation.
