Yemen reduces military expenditures
The Yemeni Arab republic on Thursday announced that the border agreement it had recently signed with Saudi Arabia will help it reduce its military expenditures and divert the state's assets to channels of economic and social development.

Yemeni foreign debts expected to increase
Yemeni financial sources stated that the amount of the foreign debt reached nearly 6.14 billion dollars at the end of 1999 which form 98% of the gross domestic production (GDP), expecting that this volume may increase greatly during the coming years.
