Yemen announces arrest of Belgian tourists' kidnapper
Yemeni Minister of Interior General Hussein Mohammed Arab said that Yemeni security bodies arrested the kidnapper of the four Belgian tourists who were abducted on July 15, adding that they will be presented for trial during the next few days.

Sanaa admits Wednesday's explosion
The Yemeni mass media on Thursday said that five persons were killed and another 43 wounded when an explosive charge went off in Sanaa, thereby refuting the police version about the explosion on that it was a result of a family row.

Three persons killed in an explosion in Sanaa
Three persons were killed and another 33 were wounded when a bomb went off on Wednesday in one of the markets in Sanaa. The Yemeni authorities fear that the explosion has a connection to the upholding of the penalty sentence against Zein al-Abidin al-Muhdar, commander of the Islamic Abeen Army - Aden, after he was convicted of kidnapping western tourists and killing four of them in December 1998.
