Yemeni prime minister sends a communique to his British counterpart
Referring to an incident earlier this week in which four kidnapping victims were killed and 12 freed during a Yemeni rescue operation, Yemeni Prime Minister Abdul Karim al-Iryani said that the western hostages would have been killed by their extremist kidnappers unless the security bodies had quickly interfered to rescue them.

Hostages killed in Yemen during attempt to free them
A Yemeni official has said that three western hostages held in Yemen, two Britons and one American, were killed and another 13 hostages were freed when Yemeni security forces attacked the place where the hostages were being held. Two of the kidnappers were also killed, the official said.
