Yemen: Seven women in the leadership of al-Islaah party
For the first time, the Yemeni Grouping for Reform (Islaah), the main Islamic party in Yemen, elected seven women to its central committee. It is the first time since the establishment of the party in 1990 that women, through elections, have reached this leading 130-member commission.

Yemeni - Eritrean decision over Hanish Islands dispute near
Yemeni Prime Minister Abdul Karim al-Iryani announced on Sunday that the international arbitration committee in charge of the dispute between Yemen and Eritrea over the Hanish Islands would decide on this issue before the middle of the current month.
