Chirac in Abu Dhabi to give condolences on the death of Sheikh Zayed
World figures continued to arrive in Abu Dhabi to give commiseration on the demise of the late UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan. On Friday the French President Jack Chirac and the President of Senegal Abdullah Wad arrived in Abu Dhabi, according to the UAE news agency.

Sheikh Zayed buried, sadness overwhelms UAE
A large funeral was held yesterday afternoon for Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan, late president of the United Arab Emirates, who died on Tuesday evening at 86 year old of which he had spent 33 years as a president for the country.

Mourning in the UAE, Sheikh Zayed's funeral is today
The United Arab Emirates has announced general mourning for 40 days over the death of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan, the founder of the state who died yesterday at 86 year old, 33 years of them as a president for the country.

Government reshuffle in UAE brings in the first woman
President of the United Arab Emirates UAE Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan yesterday made a ministerial reshuffle that provided for appointing a new minister of oil Muhammad Bin Zahen al-Hamili. He also introduced for the first time a woman to the ministry, according to the UAE news agency.
