Arab runners impress in Dubai marathon
Arab runners Jassim Abbis and Ibrahim Hambi shone yesterday (Friday) as Kenya's Wilson Kibet made it three-in-a-row by winning the Samsung Dubai Marathon, while Russian teenager Albina Ivanova set a new record in the women's event in front of hundreds of spectators.

Medecins Sans Frontires to participate in Dubai Marathon to raise funds
In an effort to raise funds for populations in danger, Medecins Sans Frontires (MSF), the international medical relief organization, will be participating in the Dubai Marathon to be held (January 11,2002) at the Dubai World Trade Centre. A team of 61 people have been selected by MSF to tackle the 10 km marathon, with one runner registered for the 42 km marathon. All the runners have pledged to run in aid of MSF's work and are being sponsored by their colleagues, families and companies
