Syria signs loan agreement with Abu Dhabi Fund
Syrian Minister of State for Planning Abdul Rahim al-Sbei on Monday signed four loan agreements between Syria and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development at a value of 543,604 million dirhams with a 3.5 percent interest rate on all withdrawn sums and .5 percent for labor banking fees.

UAE proposals for breaking the link between the dirham and the dollar
United Arab Emirates economic circles suggested breaking the link between the dirham and the US dollar and linking it to a currency basket to help the UAE national economy avoid fluctuations which it may cause it losses due to the gains resulting from the dollar's power, which has been linked with the dirham's price since the issue of the national currency.
