The UAE achieved a surplus in its trade balance with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries worth 255 million dirhams last year compared to a 365 million dirham deficit in 1995.

Qatar and Dubai in talks over gas pipeline
The pipeline would supply Dubai with gas from Qatar's giant offshore North Field, said Nasser Jaidah, new venture director at Qatar's General Petroleum Corporation. :"The gas pipeline could see the light if we agree on the prices," he added.
