Tunisia: Opposition magazine prevented from distribution
The Tunisian opposition Progressive Democratic party has announced that its weekly magazine al-Mawqif ( the position) was not distributed at the press selling centers on Wednesday and called on the Tunisian authorities to honor the freedom of the press.

Tunisia and human rights
The Tunisian minister of higher education al-sade Shaban has accused he Tunisian League for defense of human rights to "be inclined in the recent years to politicizing certain causes," while the secretary general of the Tunisian People's Unity party Muhammad BuSheiha did not hesitate to accuse certain non- governmental organizations of serving interests which stand against the Arab interests.

A campaign in Tunisia for Bin Ali's assuming fourth term of office
Organizations close to the authorities in Tunisia are taking part in the campaign launched by the ruling "Democratic Constitutional Coalition" to promote for the Tunisia President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali assuming power for the fourth constitutional term in the presidential elections in 2004.
