Syria has rejected statements made by the Israeli prime minister in which he expressed his readiness to meet with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad but under certain conditions, considering that this is not in line with the Syrian proposal to resume peace negotiations.

Syria denies giving up Rabin's deposit for negotiating with Israel
Syria has denounced what was announced by the spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Majid Abdul Fattah over Damascus's giving up what was called "Rabin's deposit" in which the former Israeli prime minister Yitzahak Rabin vowed in 1994 to withdraw from the occupied Syrian Golan heights for full normalization of relations with Syria.
