Syria: two parliamentarians are tried on corruption charges
Following three years of suspension, the Syrian People's Assembly ( parliament) permitted to bring before the security economic court two of its "Baathist " members under charges relating to corruption and misuse of their post. The two parliamentarians will be triad but while being out of prison in contrary to what happened with the two other parliamentarians, already in custody, Riad Seif and Mamoun al-Homsi.

Syrian- Saudi joint committee to meet on July 2, 3 in Jeddah
The Syrian- Saudi joint committee will hold its 10th session in Jeddah on July 2 and 3 under the chairmanship of the Syrian Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara and the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal.

Al-Turk sentenced for two and a half years imprisonment
The state's supreme security court on Wednesday issued its decision concerning Riad al-Turk. The court convicted him of the crimes attributed to him in the accusation sentence at five years imprisonment.

Leaders of four Palestinian organizations which take Damascus as a headquarter have ruled out that the Syrian leadership will respond to the call made by the US President George Bush to expel leaders of these organizations.
