Well-informed sources in Asmara told the Sudanese daily al-Ayam in its December 8 issues that the Sudanese opposition coalition has renewed in its reply to the memorandum advocated jointly by Egypt and Sudan that three sides are taking part in the negotiations through a preliminary conference to be held in Cairo or Tripoli.

Sudan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to using the Saudi port of Jeddah to export the Saudi meats and cattle to the Arab Gulf states after Saudi Arabia had lifted the banning imposed on the imports of living livestock from East Africa.
