Sudan declares state of alert against the rebels in the south
The Sudanese cabinet on Thursday announced the beginning of a campaign of alert in the country and to mobilize all potentials in order to confront the attack launched by the rebels in the southern part of the country.

The Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir has stressed that the government's forces will foil the plan of the "people army for the liberation of Sudan" aiming at declaring a state in Baher al-Gazelle district, after it will control Wao, its main cities, while the Sudanese parliament on Wednesday extended work in the emergency law for more 6 months.

In the framework of continued Egyptian- Sudanese development, the Sudanese ambassador in Cairo Ahmad Abdul Halim said that a meeting will be held in al-Khartoum for the Egyptian- Sudanese preliminary committee to prepare the agenda for the meetings of the higher committee by the end of the current month.
